OUR GOAL

We provide safe and inexpensive Do-It-Yourself bedbug treatment kits.

Bedbugs are pests that are difficult to eliminate and hiring an exterminator can be expensive . Our goal is to help the do-it-yourself community safely and effectively eliminate this pest within their financial means. Below we explain our approach to eliminating bedbugs with our heater rental kits.

OUR D.I.Y. APPROACH

All stages of bedbugs die at 122 °F. This requires a lot of heat. Our first consideration is safety. Not all heaters are safe for this type of use. Our heaters are specifically designed for do-it-yourself environments. (Below, you can read more about why our heaters are safe for you.) Next we need to prepare a room. We need to remove anything that might be affected by extreme head up to 135 °F. We also need to seal off all ducts and windows so heat cannot escape. And we need to cut off the routes of escape for bedbugs trying to leave.  We help you address these important considerations.

OUR EQUIPMENT

Our heaters are designed with the do-DIY treatment in mind. So, while our heaters put out up to 46,000 BTU of heat, they do not put it out in one concentrated spot. Each heater has a built-in fan that blows heat away from the heater at the rate of 2700 C.F.M. The room temperature is set for 135°F. With an infrared thermometer, I have tested the face-plate of a heater running for more than an hour and it registered at 135-140°F, about 10°F warmer than the room. Also, rather than waiting for the heater to heat up a whole room, we accelerate the process using additional high volume fans (3000 C.F.M.) to push the warm air into closets and other areas that might take longer to absorb the heat otherwise. Our units are designed to heat approximately 600-900 square feet in a few hours. A house with many rooms may require a few days to treat.

SAFETY

We want to provide you with a safe heater method of killing bedbugs. Our heaters cannot burn down your house. They never reach temperatures where you cannot place your hand on or near the heater. They also have a mechanism for shutting off should they fall or tip to an angle. Do not try to use another heater that is not designed for the DIY treatments. Even some professional whole house heaters might still be dangerous for someone with D.I.Y. level experience.

SETUP

We want to make your experience as effective and easy as possible. We feel that bringing our equipment to your home, do a brief walk through, and helping you set it up would help eliminate any confusion.
